Ever since graduating (University of Amsterdam, 1993) Justien Marseille researches possible futures. Her focus is on paradigm shifts in economic, political and social beliefs. She aims to understand, explore and explain ‘Why some things (or people) are valued different in time and place’. In 1999, after 5 years of trend research in advertising and concept development, she founded ‘The Future Institute’, an attitude more than a company.
In 2012 Marseille joined Creating 010, the Rotterdam University for Applied Science Research Centre on creative industry. Justien was honoured to be nominated Trendwatcher of the year (2009, 2010) and Futurist of the year (2015).
